Use this site to register for Soccer in the Streets competition and teams based in Metro Atlanta
Thank you for partnering with Soccer in the Streets.  Player information entered in this system will be registered with Georgia Soccer.  Rosters and scheduling information are available from your specific program manager.  Contact the business office at 888-436-5833 for billing & payment information.  

 Here is some background on the program.

PHILOSOPHY:
Soccer in the Streets wants to help kids be successful both on and off the field.
** Focus on fun and learning PROPER skills, with a trained & certified age-group coach, who works with players and parents/volunteers, and supervised by professional staff.
** Keep competition appropriate and in perspective, with flexibility to help kids be challenged while at the same time realizing success.
** Maintain a "drama-free" zone for players & parents, that is inclusive regardless of physical ability or skill, ethnicity, social class, family situation, religion or gender.
** Teach love and appreciation for soccer by people who are passionate about the game,  while reforcing life lessons, modeling positive values, teaching character development and providing work experience for teens & young adults.

 
PLAYER EQUIPMENT:  All players will need to have cleats, shin guards, and teams should have matching jerseys with a secondary jersey in the event of a color conflict.  Soccer ball sizes are as follows:  size 3 for ages 3-7, size 4 for ages 8-10 and size 5 for 11 and up. 

 AGE GROUPS: 
UNDER 6, UNDER 8:  These age groups are all about learning the game and having FUN. This is the ideal situation for parents who have children they would like to introduce to the game or organized sports.  Parents/volunteers are encouraged to participate at practices and will be needed to help the kids and their assigned teams at games.  (4 v 4)

UNDER 10:  This age group is a further progression of the fundamentals and some introduction of positions and even a little bit of tactics. These teams will also get to play some AWAY games.  Coaches for this age group tend to have some experience and, like the younger teams, parents/volunteers are encouraged to participate at practices and will be needed to help the kids and their assigned teams at games.  (7 v 7)

 UNDER 12/14: This division will be one of the most competitive divisions, with our participants playing teams from around the Metro-Atlanta area as well as other Soccer in the Streets programs. The participants will have a chance to experience playing teams home and away throughout the season, so some traveling is required (within the Atlanta area). It will be a great opportunity for skill development with a variety of teams and are typically trained by experienced coaches, with assistance from parents/volunteers.  (9 v 9)

OTHER PLAYING OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE  for kids 14 and up, young adults, both male and female.  Please contact us at 888-436-5833 if you are interested in those opportunities.  You will be referred to the appropriate contact for those practices and games schedules.   These matches are full 11 versus 11.
